Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wilseyville, California. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project is located at 4598 Blizzard Mine Road, Wilseyville, CA. The work to be done as shown on the Construction Plans, generally consist of, but is not limited to: The furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary for: Prepare Site - Move existing infrastructure that would impede work to a location that allows work to be performed. Once work is completed return all infrastructure to location directed by attendant. Excavate site Prepare existing asphalt edge Pour concrete slab Trench drain Hot mix asphalt tack coat on all vertical cut surfaces Install bollards Provide and install quantity 2 20' conex containers Provide and install quantity 2 Awnings for conex containers Provide and install oil/water separator Provide and install 2,500 gallon plastic water tank Erosion control ADA parking stall Complete the work within a total of 30 working days beginning from the date specified on the County's Notice to Proceed. A bid security shall be provided with each bid. Bid security shall be in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid for the Work and shall be cash, a certified check or cashier's check drawn to the order of the County of Calaveras or a Bidder's Bond executed by a surety satisfactory to the County of Calaveras on the form provided in the Proposal section of these Contract Documents. As a condition of award, the successful Bidder will be required to submit bonds and evidence of insurance prior to execution of the Agreement by the County. Failure to meet this requirement shall constitute abandonment of the Bid by the Bidder and forfeiture of the Bidder's security. Award will then be made to the next lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The estimated cost of contract work is $220,000.00 Question Deadline 10/25/2024 at 4:00 PM PT , Questions will be accepted in writing only via online. Answers to questions deemed relevant and appropriate will be posted to publicpurchase.com on or about TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2024 . Bidders shall be properly licensed to perform the Work pursuant to Contractors' Sate License Law (Business and Profession Code Section 7000 et seq.) and the prime Contractor shall posses a valid California Class B - General Contractor, Contractor license which constitutes a majority of the Work and shall maintain a valid license through completion and acceptance of the Work, including the guarantee and acceptance period. Failure of the successful Bidder to obtain proper adequate licensing and certification(s) at the time of contract award shall constitute failure to execute the Contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the Bidder's security and may result in legal penalties. All subcontractors, if any, must be properly licensed by the State of California to perform specialized trades. The Bidder to whom an award is made shall comply with all of the requirements of the County Business License Ordinance, Chapter 5.04 - Business Licenses, where applicable, prior to beginning work under this Contract and at all times during the term of this Contract. The county of Calaveras reserves the right after opening bids to reject any and all bids, to waive any irregularity in a bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive Bidder and reject all other bids, as it may best serve the interests of the County. The Purchasing Agent will recommend the bids for award by the Board of Supervisors, or award may be made by the Purchasing Agent as delegated by the Board of Supervisors, as authorized in accordance with local ordinance and/or such authority as defined in Public Contract Code. The Wilseyville Transfer Station Improvement Project is a Public Project presented by Calaveras County. The less than 1-acre concrete slab & other project will take place at 4598 Blizzard Mine Road, Wilseyville, CA in the Sierra foothills. The work required will be project layout, elevation control, slab excavation, forming, pouring, & backfilling of approximately 1500 square feet ofPortland Cement Concrete slab with reinforcement. Accessory work will include installation of an oil/water separator, drain lines installation, conex container importation and anchorage, handicap parking striping, and awning installations on the conex containers and existing buildings. In an effort to provide increased fire suppression water, the site's raw water storage is being enlarged, to include the installation and the plumbing, installation of a water tank and a sand foundation.
