The scope of Work contemplated for the above-named project includes mill and overlay, base repairs, replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk as directed, ADA upgrades, striping improvements, as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for contemplation of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents. The limits of improvements will include Washington Street (From New Brunswick Avenue C.R.616 to Amboy Avenue C.R. 653), Alexander Jankowski Community Center Parking Lot (1 Olive Street Parking Lot) & the Downtown Parking Lot (266 Hobart Street Parking Lot). All Work on this Contract shall be completed within ninety (90) Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed.` Question Deadline 10/29/2024 at 10:00 AM ET Bid submissions must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "City of Perth Amboy" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price amount, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful Bidder is hereby notified that a Performance and Payment Bond for the full amount of this Project is required. City of Perth Amboy intends to award this Project to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder in accordance with applicable law. City of Perth Amboy reserves the right to reject any and all Bids to the extent permitted by law. An award will be made or Bids will be rejected within sixty (60) Calendar Days after the electronic opening of the Bids, during which time the Bids shall be irrevocable and unavailable to withdraw by Bidders, unless otherwise extended in the Contract Documents.
