Construction Manager at Risk North Platte River Restoration Izaak Walton Site Address: North Platte River - Izaak Walton Reach Site Directions: The stretch of the North Platte River that encompasses the Izaak Walton stretch extends from approximately the Regional Water System Water Treatment Plant down stream to a point just below the Wyoming Boulevard bridge across the North Platte River in the Town of Mills. More specifically, the Izaak Walton reach starts at 42.8336 latitude, -106.3739 longitude, and ends at 42.8336 latitude, -106.3689 longitude. Description: The procurement of Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) services by a qualified CMAR firm to participate in a collaborative process to assist in the development and finalization of the design; to provide scheduling and budget input; to provide bidding services for potential sub-contractors; to influence the methods, phasing and sequencing of the construction phase; and participate in the construction delivery for remodel/reconstruction of the NPRR Izaak Walton The goals for the North Platte River Restoration Project include fish habitat improvement, bank stabilization, removal of rip rap/concrete on banks, removal of non-native vegetation, and replanting of the riparian zone with native vegetation. All of these goals are outlined in detail in the North Platte River Master Plan. The City of Casper has completed a Master Plan for restoration of seven (7) project areas of the North Platte River as it flows through the City and nearby areas. This project involves one of the seven project areas, known as the Izaak Walton reach, and includes design and permitting work. The goals for the North Platte River Restoration Project include fish habitat improvement, bank stabilization, removal of rip rap/concrete on banks, removal of non-native vegetation, and replanting of the riparian zone with native vegetation. The City of Casper is the recipient of a grant from the Bureau of Reclamation to assist in payment for construction ofstream habitat improvements along the Izaak Walton reach of the North Platte River through Casper.
