Renovation of a museum in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
Reference Number : 0000366335 We encourage all bidders to read the entire bid package to fully understand the scope of the project and the requirements set forth by the City. Each Bidder must submit, at a minimum, the completed proposal pages; including the acknowledgement of addendum, unit bid prices, questionnaire, corporate information page and a certified check or proposal bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, satisfactory to and payable to the order of the City of Newport, RI. Failure to submit all required documentation may result in disqualification of the bid. Per R.I. Gen. Laws 37-2-18(j), Effective January 1, 2013, any bid or proposal that exceeds Five Hundred Thousand ($500,000) dollars must include a copy to be available for public inspection upon the opening of the bids. Any bid or proposal in excess of Five Hundred Thousand ($500,000) dollars which does not include a copy for public inspection shall be deemed to be non-responsive. It is the bidder's responsibility to see that the bid is delivered within the time and at the place prescribed. Bids received prior to the time of opening will be securely kept, unopened. Bids may be withdrawn on written request (on the letterhead of the bidder and signed by the person signing the bid) which must be received prior to the time fixed for opening. Bids may be modified in the same manner. No bid or modification thereof received after the time set for opening will be 2 considered, even if it is determined by the City that such non-arrival before the time set for opening was due solely to the delay in the mails for which the bidder is not responsible. The technical point of contact for this package is David Janiesch at DJaniesch@cityofnewport.com or (401) 845-5843. Prevailing Wages also applies to ALL other (Non-Construction) Requirements.
