This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Seattle, Washington. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a pool of qualified vendors to provide permanent and temporary fencing services as needed by the City. The City anticipates a variety of fencing services work, including permanent and temporary fencing, and associated gates and/or installation services. Fencing work would be small jobs, all less than $200,000, and are not intended to include major structural work that requires architectural or engineering design. In some cases, City departments may want to purchase material from the vendor. Vendors must adhere to standards of the Chain Link Manufacturers Institute for "Galvanized Steel Chain Link Fence Fabric" and CHAIN LINK FENCE MANUFACTURERS INSTITUTE PRODUCT MANUAL, Standard Guide for Metallic-Coated Steel Chain Link Fence & Fabric, and City of Seattle Standards listed in Section 4, Specifications and Scope of Work. The City would contact vendors when small jobs are needed. City departments may request quotes from one or more of the vendors in the pool. The vendor is to provide a quote with a detailed description of the work. Vendors will provide quotes in alignment with contract pricing, as outlined in Section 6.8-Work Order Quotations of this ITB. The vendor shall not proceed until given written notice by the City Department. The City does not have an estimate as to how much work may be available for a vendor. There may be few or no projects in a given year, or there may be a significant share of work. Contract usage last year was $1.2M with 330 work orders. Multiple Awards: The City expects to award contracts to more than one successful bidder. Submit questions to the Buye The City strongly prefers that vendors use the online to submit questions. Failure to request clarification of any inadequacy, omission, or conflict will not relieve Vendor of any responsibilities herein or in any subsequent contract. The Vendor is responsible to assure they received responses to the questions if issued. Question Deadline 11/18/2024 at 4:00 PM PT This contract shall be for one-year with four (4) one-year extensions allowed at the option of the City. This contract is subject to prevailing wage and will require Vendor compliance to prevailing wage requirements (see Terms and Conditions in Supporting Attachments). The Vendor may provide a notice to not extend but must provide such notice at least 45 days prior to the annual renewal date. All vendor communications concerning this acquisition and evaluation must be directed only to the Buyer below. Failure to comply may cause bid rejection. Unless authorized by the Buyer, no other City official or City employee is empowered to speak for the City regarding this solicitation or resultant contract evaluation. Sal Munoz (206) 684-8605 sal.munoz@seattle.gov Items on price sheets shall then be calculated for award. Item pricing will be multiplied by the number of units required for an item total. Item totals will be totaled for all items for a tabulated total. If an error in math occurs, unit pricing will be considered the correct price and will be used. If any cost item is missing from a bidder Offer Form, the City reserves the right to reject that Bid or to calculate and compare bids without that cost item considered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids with no penalty. The City also has the right to waive immaterial defects and minor irregularities in any submitted Bid.
