Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Huntsville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.
The project is to include demolition of an existing gym building and canopy and construction of a pre-engineered metal building with a structural CMU wall base. The building exterior consists of a brick water table and insulated metal roof and wall panels. A 3-hour fire rated wall separates the existing school from the new gymnasium. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Huntsville City Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
