Renovation of a detention facility in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Shawnee County is soliciting sealed bids for Specifications for Removal and Replacement of Boiler Unit that supplies the Laundry operation on the Adult Detention Center 1998 Addition, per the following minimum requirements. The Shawnee County Department of Corrections (Owner) is issuing specifications to obtain bids for the replacement of one boiler unit. The unit is dedicated for use in supplying the departments laundry operation within the Adult Detention Center (ADC). The unit works together with a separate unit that services the module and general areas within the 1998 addition to the ADC. The general unit serves as a backup to the unit that is being replaced, when it fails. This project includes replicating those connections. This RFP is issued to remove the existing device and replace it with a Lochinvar PFN1002PM-M9 model boiler unit (Water Heater). The scope of work shall include: 1. Disconnect and removal of existing Water Heater unit 2. Installation of new Water Heater in the same location 3. Restoration of all connections to the existing network of units
