The Department of Corrections (DOC) is requesting bids to provide landscaping services at DOC Headquarters (HQ) and Probation and Parole (P&P) District 1 Richmond. Work Location: DOC Headquarters 6900 Atmore Drive, Richmond, VA 23225 and P&P District 1 Richmond 6866 Everglades Drive, Richmond, VA 23225 The Department of Corrections (DOC) is requesting bids to provide landscaping services at DOC Headquarters (HQ) and Probation and Parole (P&P) District 1 Richmond, hereinafter referred to as the Purchasing Agency located at 6900 Atmore Drive, Richmond, Virginia 23225 and 6866 Everglades Drive, Richmond, Virginia 23225. For the purpose of this contract landscaping services shall include but not be limited to all: lawn areas (softscape, grass), botany (flowers, plants, shrubs, trees), flower beds, hardscape (walkways, curbs, verandas, patios, parking areas). Landscaping services shall be provided on weekly basis one (1) day per week, with the specific day to be determined by the Contract Administrator and shall be scheduled during the business hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The contract period will be for one (1) year from November 1, 2024, through October 31, 2025, and renewable in accordance with Section III, Paragraph D. RENEWAL OF CONTRACT: This contract may be renewed by the Commonwealth for four successive one year periods under the terms and conditions of the original contract except as stated in 1. and 2. below. Price increases may be negotiated only at the time of renewal. Written notice of the Commonwealth's intention to renew shall be given approximately 90 days prior to the expiration date of each contract period. 1. If the Commonwealth elects to exercise the option to renew the contract for an additional one-year period, the contract price(s) for the additional one year shall not exceed the contract price(s) of the original contract increased/decreased by more than the percentage increase/decrease of the Other Services category of the CPI-U section of the Consumer Price Index of the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics for the latest twelve months for which statistics are available. 2. If during any subsequent renewal periods, the Commonwealth elects to exercise the option to renew the contract, the contract price(s) for the subsequent renewal period shall not exceed the contract price(s) of the previous renewal period increased/decreased by more than the percentage increase/decrease of the Other Services category of the CPI-U section of the Consumer Price Index of the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics for the latest twelve months for which statistics are available. E. BID ACCEPTANCE PERIOD: Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for (90) days. At the end of the days the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled.
