As of December 16, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. GIPD has had success with a test & evaluation of one LPR product and is ready to move forward to identify a vendor to install several cameras in various locations around the City of Grand Island, Nebraska. The equipment will be installed and maintained by the vendor. The vendor will obtain all permissions to have the cameras mounted in the public right-of-way and/or obtain pole attachment agreements to have the equipment installed on City owned utility poles.
