As of May 13, 2025, a design firm has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Dothan, Alabama, requests proposals from qualified firms to provide professional design services for a new BMX and Skatepark Complex to be located within the Westgate Memorial Park. The purpose of this project is to prepare design documents, assist in bidding, and performance of all construction administrative services to complete the construction of the BMX and Skatepark Complex. The BMX and Skatepark Complex project is anticipated to be approximately 1.5 acres, adjacent to the Competition BMX Track, at 345 BMX Trail. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
