Estimated Bid Value $675,000 - $750,000 Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Scope of Services The general items of work include, but not limited to, clearing and grubbing; removal and installation of new traffic signal equipment; removal and installation of a new electrical pedestal and rewiring the intersection; removal and replacement of ADA curb ramps, sidewalk, and curb and gutter; removal and replacement of asphalt concrete pavement; signage; and striping modification. Traffic stripes, pavement markings, painting shall be thermos plastic unless otherwise shown on the Plans. The limits of the striping shall extend a minimum of 100 feet beyond the project limits in all directions and shall include the painting/installation of pavement marking, raised pavement marker, house address number on the curb face or pavement. The Audible-Tactile Pedestrian Signal System shall consist of all electronic control equipment, mounting hardware, push buttons and signs, which are designed to provide both a push button with a raised vibrating tactile arrow on the button, along with a variety of audible sounds for different pedestrian signal functions. A 2 Wire APS system consists of push button stations installed on poles with existing or new pairs of button wires and a Central Control Unit installed in the traffic cabinet. The Central Control Unit powers the push button stations over the 2 wires and uses digital data including pedestrian interval information and pedestrian calls for each phase to communicate with each push button station over the two low voltage button wires. 1. The System shall consist of a Central Control Unit (CCU) and Pedestrian Push Button Stations (PBS), as described below, and be capable of communicating with and programming with devices that support an iOS client application, or an Android client application, or Windows PC with Bluetooth(R) Low Energy dongle and Windows client application, for programming the system settings. 2. The System shall be manufactured by an ISO 9001:2015 (minimum) registered company. 3. The System shall meet the requirements of Made in America and/or The Buy American Act. Installation of new 3, 4, or 5-12" LED Vehicle Head complete with backplates, mountings, and visors, shall conform to the latest revision of Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications and Section 800-3.7 of these Special Provisions. The work shall be performed at the locations as shown on the Plans. The contract price per each (EA) for FURNISH AND INSTALL NEW 3, 4 or 5-12" LED VEHICLE HEAD COMPLETE WITH BACKPLATES, MOUNTINGS, AND VISORS shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the work, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefor. . Installation of new LED Countdown Ped Head with new mounting shall conform to the latest revision of Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications. The work shall be performed at the locations as shown on the Plans. The contract price per each (EA) for NEW LED COUNTDOWN PEDESTRIAN HEAD WITH NEW MOUNTING shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the work, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefor. The contractor shall furnish and install new #5, #6, or #6E pull box. Pull boxes shall conform to the latest revision of Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications and Section 800-3.3 of these Special Provisions unless otherwise noted on plans. Existing pull boxes not reused or noted for future use, including those formerly for lighting ballasts, shall be removed and salvaged and the area of removal repaired in kind with the surrounding area. No pull box shall be in or within 1-foot of a disabled access ramp. The contract price per each (EA) for FURNISH AND INSTALL #5, #6, OR #6E PULL BOX shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the work, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefor. Contractor shall furnish and install 2", 3", or 4" conduit as indicated on plans. Conduit shall conform to the latest revision of Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications and Section 80- 3.2.1 of these Special Provisions, and as shown on plans. The contract price per linear feet (LF) for FURNISH AND INSTALL 2", 3", OR 4" CONDUIT shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the work, complete in place, and no additional compensation will be made therefor.
