The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Nesconset Fire District will accept sealed bids for electrical work at Station 1. All bidders will be required to hold a firm price for a period of eighteen (18) months from the date of the bid opening, which is the time within which the Fire District may award a contract. The Board of Fire Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informalities, as its interests may require. This transaction by the Fire District may be subject to a Referendum pursuant to Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law and/or Section 176 of the of the Town Law. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked "Bid Proposal, Nesconset Fire District -- Electrical Work -- Station 1". Install new commercial grade 3 phase electric panel adjacent to existing electrical equipment south wall Install splicing trough above panel at drop ceiling height Install (3) 1-1/14 conduits from existing panel #1 to splicing trough for existing circuitry Install (2) 1-1/4 conduits from existing panel #2 to splicing trough for existing circuitry Install wire from existing panels #1 and #2 over to new panel Remove old feeder wiring back to source at other side of building Replace existing 100 amp 3 phase feeder with new #2 thhn wiring in 2 inch EMT conduit Install new circuit breakers for the new electric panel as required for existing circuits Provide 20 spare 1 pole 20 amp circuit breakers in panel for future use Remove circuit breakers and bus in existing panels and repurpose as a splice box Splice all new wiring to existing circuits from old panels Terminate all new wiring in new panel on new circuit breakers Trace out existing circuits for proper labeling and identification of circuit breaker controls Electric panel to be Siemens 3 phase 225 amp main lug panel with bolt on breakers All wiring to be installed in EMT conduit Corodinate shutdown of power with district. Building is fully operational and must remain in service Provide temporary power and lighting to essential equipment at needed
