Kapkowski Road Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project Construction Must Begin Within Ten (10) Calendar Days After Written Notice to Do So Shall Have Been Given to the Contractor by the Director of Public Works, and Shall Be Carried on Regularly and Uninterruptedly, at a Rate to Insure Its Full Completion Within the Specified Calendar Days After Such Notice. The Work Generally Consists of Constructing New Sanitary Sewer Piping Supported on Piles, Including Removing, Abandoning, Replacing, and Connecting to Existing Sewers and Structures; Locating, Extending, and Reinstating Existing Sewer Service Connections and Laterals; Providing Temporary Utilities and Maintaining Existing Services; and Performing All Associated Site Work, General Construction, Utility Relocation, and Miscellaneous Work. The Work is Located Along Kapkowski Road, From North Avenue East to Jersey Gardens Boulevard West, All Within the City of Elizabeth. The Work Shall Be Completed Within 300 Calendar Days of the Contractor's Receipt of Written Notice to Proceed. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier Check or Surety Bond of a Corporation Acceptable to the City and in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Bid Presented, but in No Case in Excess of $20,000.00. Pursuant to N.j.s.a. 52:32-44, All Business Organizations That Conduct Business With a New Jersey Government Agency Are Required to Be Registered With the State of New Jersey.
