Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project includes earthwork, storm sewer, water service, electrical service, PCC pavement, poured in place play surfacing, park amenities, coordination of play equipment installation, finish grading and associated work necessary to complete the Carr Park Agility Course, located at 1704 Meadowlane Avenue in Ames. Each bid shall include the bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8 and as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Said bid security shall be based on an amount equal to at least 5% of the bid amount. Doc Note - The plans and specifications are now on file in the City Clerk's office. Copies thereof may be obtained at the City Purchasing Division, Finance Department. The City of Ames Purchasing Division is the only authorized source of bid forms. Bid forms obtained from any other source may have an incomplete set of documents. Bidders using a bid form not obtained from the City of Ames Purchasing Division are advised to contact the City of Ames Purchasing Division to provide a contact name, mailing address and phone number to enable receipt of necessary addenda. Reproduction of these documents without the express permission of the City of Ames is prohibited. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement in good repair for a period of one (1) year from and after the completion and acceptance by the City. After award and approval of contract and performance bond, work on this contract shall substantially completed no later than June 30, 2025. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
