Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids from a general contractor to provide interior renovations for a Development Services office located at 4655 Timber Ridge Drive in Douglasville Georgia. The existing building was constructed in or around 2006 and was formerly occupied by Strayer University. The building is two story, brick and approximately 17,000 square feet. Douglas County reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids, to accept portions of any bid, and to accept any bid, which in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to add to or delete from the contract after the contract has been awarded. No bid will be received and accepted after the above specified date and time of the bid opening. Bids submitted after the designated date and time will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the bidder. No bid may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the bid opening and all bids shall remain firm during this period. It will be the responsibility of selected contractor to implement the improvements described within the attached plans including demolition of a portion of the interior walls, construction of new interior walls, new paint, flooring, lighting, millwork, low voltage, etc. The approved company will be responsible for all items listed in the Scope of Work Section of this document. Some of the spaces within the building but excluded from renovations may need to continue to operate fully staffed during the renovation. Any inconveniences on the part of the contractor need to be discussed prior to any disruption of services at the location. Construction is expected to occur during normal business hours.
