Demolition, site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 140,000-square-foot, nine-story above grade, 224-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility; and for the demolition of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Tyndall Seniors Village Inc. intends to build a new Long Term Care Home in Mississauga, Ontario. The site will be developed in two phases, with the Long Term Care Home completed in Phase I and the demolition of the existing Long Term Care Home and completion of site work as part of Phase 2. The new Long Term Care Home is a 224 bed, nine-storey, concrete and precast concrete structure with an approximate gross area of 140,000 sq ft. The building envelope consists of insulated precast sandwich panels, masonry veneer, glazed curtainwall, vinyl windows, TPO and Green roof systems. Actual Bids for the various subcontractors are expected to be issued during Q1 of 2025. The anticipated project construction schedule is 24 months. Contractors listed below are invited to respond in writing: - Millwork and Carpentry; - Floor Finishes; - Soft and Hard Landscaping; - Painting & Wall Coverings. The following documentation must be submitted: (1) Fully completed CCDC 11-2019 (2) WSIB - WISR (Workplace Injury Summary Report) Submission shall include letter authorizing Owner, Construction Manager and Consultants to verify contents of submissions, including contacting references from projects listed in the CCDC-11. References may be contacted by phone, email or fax. Sealed hardcopy or emailed (email limit no larger than 10MB) prequalification must be received by Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd., The Architect is Cornerstone Architecture Inc., Civil and Structural Consultants are MTE Consultants Inc, Mechanical and Electrical Consultants are Chorley + Bisset Consulting Engineers. Tyndall Seniors Village Inc. and Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd. reserve the right to select only those proponents which are deemed suitable and qualified to undertake this project. The prequalification process does not constitute any obligation on the part of Tyndall Seniors Village Inc. or Aquicon Construction Co. Ltd. to prequalify and enter into a subcontract agreement with any proponent. Only the proponents deemed qualified to perform on the project will receive bid documents at a later date. Tyndall Seniors Village Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all submissions. *Cost reflects the approx. value of the total project.
