Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work shall consist essentially of the following type items for Meadowbrook Water Treatment Plant Improvements 1. Installation of a fiberglass induced draft aerator and steel support system with concrete foundation, 2. Installation of two vertical turbine service pumps and concrete foundation, 3. Installation of new chlorine, lime, and phosphate feed systems including fiberglass buildings and concrete slabs, 4. Installation of plant process piping, 5. Installation of new electrical system, 6. Installation of new SCADA system components, and 7. Site restoration. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Bidders are expected to inspect the site of the work as provided in the Instructions to Bidders and to inform themselves of all local conditions. Contract time shall be 270 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter in the amount of Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750.00). Special Damages - In addition to the amounts provided for liquidated damages, Contractor, in the event of such default, shall pay to the Owner the actual costs reasonably incurred by Owner for engineering and inspection forces employed on the work after the time stipulated for completion of the work. Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. Each Bidder shall write his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal. The outside of the envelope should also bear the Bidder's name, address, and name of the project for which the Bid is submitted. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed and deposited with the Horn Lake City Clerk prior to the hour and date hereinbefore designated. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that disadvantaged and womenowned business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. When considering the award of any contract resulting from this invitation, the Owner will not discriminate against any bidder on the grounds of race, gender, or national origin.
