**As of April 17, 2025, the project was awarded to Struthers Recreation , with an awarded amount of $71,829.71.** Safety surface shall be poured-sn-ptece and trowelled to provide for a resilient, seamless rubber surface installed over the specified rigid base. Product should be comprised of an SSR rubber impact attenuation layer and an EPDM cotar wear layer, with both layers being mixed with a non flammable, non-shnnking: one part moisture cured polyurethane adhesive as recommended by the Manufacturer and capable of bonding to concrete, asphalt er compacted stone. Safety surface shah be stable and dip resistant to comply with, meet or exceed all requirements set forth in ths Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM international) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) for manufactured Safety Surfaces as detailed below Latimer Park Playground Equipment Jackson County Board of Supervisors will accept sealed proposals for playground equipment and installation at Latimer Park, for the Parks and Recreation Department of Jackson County, Mississippi It shall be incumbent upon each bidder to understand the specifications as listed herein and to obtain clarification when necessary. It is not the intent of the specifications to limit the bidding to any make or manufacture of equipment or items of commodity, but rather to select such equipment and or commodities to fill a specific need and perform a specific task. Any reference to name-brand equipment or commodities is intended to establish standards only and bids submitted on equipment and commodities equal thereto shall be received and considered. Qualifications must be accompanied by a security in the form of Certified Check, Cashier's Check or acceptable Performance Bond, payable to Jackson County Board of Supervisors, in amount equal to at least three percent (3%) of the base proposal; such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who may be awarded the contract but who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal and executes the contract. Each Vendor/Contractor shall be required to ensure the delivery and receipt of its sealed and/or electronic bid by the agency prior to the new date and time of the bid opening. Late or incomplete proposals will not be considered. Modifications will not be considered after the closing date and time. The Board of Supervisors expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part of any or all bids and waive any informalities.
