Site work for a water / sewer project in Hamilton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work specified in this section consists of furnishing and installing underground utilities using the horizontal directional drilling (HDD) method of installation, also commonly referred to as directional boring or guided horizontal boring. This work shall include all services, equipment, materials, and labor for the complete and proper installation, testing, restoration of underground utilities and environmental protection and restoration. In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will be as described below: installing 17 new gas services, installing 1,400 linear feet of new gas service piping directionally drilled between the curb boxes and meters, installing 380 linear feet of new interior gas house piping (which must be installed by a licensed plumber, further details below), installing 2,965 linear feet of new water service piping directionally drilled between curb boxes and foundation wall, installing 880 linear feet of new interior water house piping (which must be installed by a licensed plumber, further details below), and other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. A licensed plumber must be registered with the City of Hamilton. In order to be registered with the City of Hamilton, please contact our Construction Services Department at 513-785-7360 for further information. In order for work to be completed, certain permits must be obtained through Construction Services before work begins. Further information is in the Specifications of the Contract Documents and also can be received through Construction Services. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Question Deadline 10/31/2024 at 2:00 PM ET The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). All contractors and/or subcontractors whose employees perform work on a City of Hamilton gas pipeline system must have on file or submit with the bid proposal a copy of the contractor's Operators Qualification Plan and a current P.H.M.S.A.
