Renovation of a mixed-use development in East Saint Louis, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and theater / auditorium.
The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including but not limited to the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act" and the Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act), including but not limited to the following paragraph: The general prevailing rate of wages in the locality for each craft or type of worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract or perform such work, also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work, as ascertained by the public body or by the Department of Labor shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract or to perform such work. A10% Bid Security will be required with each proposal. Bid Proposals will be firm for sixty (60) calendar days. The building will be made available for inspection during the mandatory pre-bid meeting. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, any part of a proposal, to waive informalities and technicalities and to make the award in the best interest of the district.
