The City of Urbandale, Iowa, is soliciting bids for the mowing and trimming services to the McDivitt Cemetery located at 7001 Meredith Drive. There is approximately 2.91 acres of mowing area at this location. The Contractor is expected to provide all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, and other components necessary to satisfactorily perform the turf mowing and trimming services. This bid will be for the 2025 mowing season with the option to renew for 2026 and 2027. The initial contract for the cemetery turf mowing and trimming services would be based on automatically renewable one (1) mowing season increments for three (3) mowing seasons. A "mowing season" is defined as a seven (7) month period beginning on or about April 1 and ending on or about October 31 of the same calendar year, with the actual dates weather dependent. Mowing dates will be determined between the City and the selected contractor. The estimated number of mows is not guaranteed, since the mowing is weather dependent--either too wet or too dry will reduce the number of mows. The City reserves the right to skip during the season mowings based on weather/growing conditions.
