Roof Replacement at Warren Twp. Schools Maintenance Building PSA The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the roof replacement of the existing single ply low-sloped roof and build-up sloped roofs at the District Maintenance Building with a modified bitumen built-up roofing system at the low-slope roof and new metal roof at the sloped roof. Bids will be considered in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et.seq. Bids will be received from a Bidder for a lump sum price for the entire project, all trades, all inclusive. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of (1) a bid bond or certified or cashier's check payable to the Warren Twp. Schools equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. The successful bidder will be required to furnish additional bonds as specified in Document 00 21 13, "Instructions to Bidders." The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any non-responsive bids or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive minor informalities or nonmaterial exceptions, that may be in the best interest of the Board. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. Bids will be received from a Bidder for a lump sum price for the entire project, all trades, all inclusive. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following categories, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27.1, et.seq.: (C068) ROOFING - MEMBRANE MODIFIED BITUMEN OR (C071) ROOFING - METAL Bidders shall also either be prequalified for, or include documentation for prequalified subcontractors for, the following listed classifications: (C047) ELECTRICAL In addition, if the Bidder is not DPMC classified as (C068) Roofing - Membrane Modified Bitumen, as of the date and time of the bid opening, Bidder shall be required to contract with subcontractor that is DPMC classified (C068) Roofing - Membrane Modified Bitumen. If the Bidder is not DPMC classified as (C071) Roofing - Metal, as of the date and time of the bid opening, Bidder shall be required to contract with subcontractor that is DPMC classified (C071) Roofing - Metal. Bidders and subcontractors for each of the major branches of work specified in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 must be prequalified by the DPMC. Bidders shall submit with the bid a Certificate of Prequalification/Classification from the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) and Affidavit as to the Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts for the Bidder and for all listed subcontractors in the referenced statute for whom DPMC prequalification is required. Such "summaries" are issued to provide Bidders with a basic understanding of the general intent of the Project, and as such, the summaries are not exhaustive, all-inclusive listings of project scope.
