Hamilton-wenham regional school district For Installation of a four-pole climbing tower and zip line In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30, Section 39M, the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District, located at 5 School Street, Wenham, Massachusetts 01984 ("School District"), invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the installation of a four-pole climbing tower and zip line on property of the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, located at 775 Bay Road, Hamilton, Massachusetts, 01982 (the "Project"). Bidders must have at least five (5) years of experience in constructing outdoor challenge course structures to be deemed qualified and responsible. A bid deposit in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid price and in the form of cash, bid bond, certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible banking institution payable to the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District is required with each bid and shall be enclosed with the bid; this guarantee will become the property of the School District if the selected bidder fails to execute the contract and satisfactory bond within ten (10) days after the contract award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the total contract sum. EMPLOYMENT AND WAGE REQUIREMENTS. Attention is called to minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Division of Occupational Safety under the provisions of Mass. G.L.C. 149, section 26 to 27H inclusive. Contractor is to be aware of hiring preferences for veterans and residents and the requirement for worker's compensation coverage. All such requirements are set forth in Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 37. The Contractor shall submit certified weekly payrolls in a form suitable to the School District and the Office of the Attorney General. The Regional School District reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bids, to reject any or all bids received, and to waive informalities in the bidding procedure
