The TOWN OF HAMILTON, Massachusetts, acting through its Department of Public Works, invites sealed bids for "2024 Road Improvements Project IFB2025-007" The Base Bid Work consists of roadway pavement resurfacing, including full depth and mill and overlay, and pavement markings along a 5,850 foot portion of Bridge Street; HMA sidewalk, cement concrete pedestrian ramps, and HMA curb improvements along a 1,270 foot portion of Essex Street; full depth roadway reconstruction, HMA curb, and drainage structure adjustments along a portion of Greenbrook Road. Alternates may be added if additional funding is secured. This project is being funded in whole or in part by Chapter 90 and municipal funds. To bid on this project, Contractors must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, Prequalification of Contractors by MassDOT Highway Division in the category of Pavement - Surfacing or Highway - Construction, for the project with an estimated value of $982,405.70. Bid Security: Certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Total Bid is required. All Bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26-27, inclusive, as amended. The successful Bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds. The Owner and Engineer, being considered the sole and only judge, reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject, any or all bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the Owner's best interest to do so.
