Renovation of a medical facility in Deland, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The County of Volusia is looking for a professional Construction Management/General Contracting firm to renovate the Emergency Medical Services Headquarters and make related site improvements. The renovated Emergency Medical Services Headquarters is located on existing County-owned property at: 1720 and 1730 Mason Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL. The Emergency Medical Services Headquarters site is to remain a partially secure compound. It is the Countys goal that the D&WBE participation for the Project is at least ten percent (10%). The primary objective of the revamped facility is to consolidate the operations of Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Medical Administration, and Treasury and Billing in one convenient and efficient location. The project may encompass the establishment of various features such as offices, reception areas, lobbies, a break room with a designated lunch table, meeting rooms, safety shower/eye wash facilities, a customer service counter, a covered loading dock, a vehicle wash area, surface parking, razor wire fencing, electronic sliding secure vehicle gates, showers, an intake/processing zone for goods/materials, and a staging area for processing goods/materials for distribution. The purpose of this request for statement of qualifications (RSQ) is to select the most highly qualified firm(s) to provide the requested services. It is anticipated that one (1) firm will be awarded a basic contract to provide the necessary Part A, Pre-Construction Phase Services Contract and a Part B, Construction Phase Services Contract, for a period of four (4) years or until project completion, whichever occurs later, exercisable at the option of the County. estimated value $6,819,341.10 All renewals will be contingent upon mutual and written agreement and, when applicable, approval of County Council.
