Renovation of a municipal facility in Loyalton, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Location: 704 Mill Street & 706 Mill Street Loyalton, CA 96118 Scope of Work: Sierra County Public Works is soliciting informal bids for the provision of all Plans, Specifications, Permits, equipment, materials, and labor necessary for the installation of Two Emergency Backup Generators. All provisions contained within the project plan shall be fully considered with the lump sum bid provided by contractor. Contractor will be required to enter a Public Works Contract with Sierra County; a sample contract is attached to this RFB. All Design and materials supplied under this contract shall be in accordance with the California 2022 California Building Standards Code hereinafter referred to as the Building Code. The Contractor will be responsible for the designing and permitting, provision of all materials and equipment required for the installation of a properly sized contractor provided Propane Powered Generators including an Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). If the material or equipment provided by the supplier is determined to be below the quality standards required by the contractors' specifications, either by visual inspection or other test, the material or equipment will be rejected, and upon the County's request, must be removed by the Contractor, and at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall have no recourse against the Sierra County for the value of rejected material or equipment. 2. Contractors submitting bids shall furnish a lump sum price for all the above-mentioned specifications and scope of work. Each bidder must hold a current valid General Class B contractor's license or other applicable specialty license and shall type or write in a legible manner his or her California Contractor's license number on the outside of the envelope or wrapper which contains the bid and in the space provided on the bid form. The bidder to whom a contract is awarded will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials bond guaranteeing faithful performance and payment of all debts related to this contract in accordance with provisions is sample contract. Contracts under $25,000 will not require these bonds Contractors are encouraged to inspect the sites of the work in order to satisfy themselves, by personal examination or by such other means as they may prefer, of the location of the proposed work and as to the actual conditions of and at the site of work. If, during the course of the examination, Contractor finds facts or conditions which appear confusing to Contractor, Contractor shall apply to County for additional information and explanation before submitting the bid. However, no such supplemental information so requested or furnished shall vary the terms of the specifications or the Contractor's sole responsibility to satisfy himself or herself as to the conditions of the work to be performed.
