Dresher Road Streambank Stabilization The project involves restoration of Pennypack Creek's streambank. The north banks shall be cut back and stabilized using bio-engineering techniques and the south banks shall use a combination of geotextile soil wrap and brush mattresses due to the steeper slopes of the upland areas. Native plantings are included. The Contractor is responsible for all erosion control, demolition, grading, installation of stormwater improvements, plantings, trash/material removal, and local permitting. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and work, unless otherwise provided and shall be responsible for the complete supervision, performance and completion of all work in accordance with the drawings, specifications, special provisions and contract. Questions Due Date: Nov 15th 2024, 5:00 PM EST This Section involves the Contractor's obligations relative to maintaining the safe and efficient movement of traffic in the vicinity of construction. Contractor will be required to furnish, erect, and maintain traffic cones, drums, barricades, flashing danger signal lights, directional signs and provide trained and equipped flagmen as required by the Traffic Control Plan and State and local permit requirements to restrict the movement of traffic within the construction areas and to clearly indicate the restrictions well in advance to vehicular traffic. The Work of This Section Includes: 1. Description of Work. 2. Work by Owner. 3. Work by other parties. 4. Owner supplied Products. 5. Contractor use of site. 6. Future work. 7. The planting of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and ornamental grasses, with planting soil, topsoil, soil amendments, fertilizer, mulch, planting accessories and maintenance. Excavation, backfill and compaction associated with utility construction, including such related features as protection of adjacent utilities and structures, maintenance and protection of traffic, cutting paved surfaces, support of excavation, control of excavated materials, dewatering, pipe bedding, disposal of excavated materials, rough grading and restoration. The Work of This Section Includes, but is not limited to: 1. Placing topsoil 2. Soil conditioning 3. Finish grading 4. Seeding 5. Sodding 6. Maintenance Restore unpaved surfaces to a condition similar to that prior to excavation as specified and indicated on the Drawings. The "Seeding Restoration Table" at the end of this section lists specific seeding restoration requirements. Refer to Drawings for seeding restoration requirements at each specific location of Work.
