The City of Waukee is requesting quotes for proposed monument signs in the downtown area. Please refer to the attached drawings and Request for Quotes for details on the signage, submission instructions, and other relevant information. We appreciate your consideration of this project. The intent and purpose of the Request for Quotes is to establish a contract to install Downtown Signage for various locations in Waukee. See attached drawings for additional information. b. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and products needed to furnish and install all signage as outlined in this request for quotes and the attached drawings. II. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS a. Property Damage. The Contractor shall be responsible for any and all damage to public and private property (including public utilities) due to its own or its employees negligence. b. Traffic Control. Traffic control and the safety of personnel and motorists is of the utmost importance. All traffic control procedures shall comply with the latest edition of Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devises for Streets and Highways. All temporary traffic control provisions shall be furnished, erected, maintained, and removed by the Contractor. Parking of private vehicles on right-of-way and/or closed streets will not be allowed. III. LENGTH OF AGREEMENT a. If approved by the Waukee City Council at their meeting on November 18, 2024, this Agreement shall commence on November 19, 2024, and end on December 31, 2025, inclusive. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES a. Contractor shall exercise caution to not damage existing facilities while completing their work. b. Signage shall be completed and installed by May 1, 2025. Damages in the amount of two hundred dollars and 00/100 ($200.00) per calendar day will be assessed for each day the work shall remain uncompleted after the completion date. c. All Damages will be at the sole discretion of the City of Waukee which at the option of the City may be deducted from the final payment to contractor, or through the commencement of a cause of action by the City, in the Citys sole discretion. The selection by the City of any particular course of action hereunder is not exclusive and shall not preclude the pursuit of additional remedies by the City. In the event the City institutes legal proceedings, the Contractor shall be responsible for any and all attorneys fees and expenses.
