Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Winchester, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Modify existing parking to allow for two accessible parking areas including loading areas. Replace remainder of existing bituminous parking area and drive. Remove existing concrete curb ramp remove designated walks as necessary to have a curb ramp installed. Regrade swale at end of existing drive for proper drainage. No Prebid Meeting has been scheduled. Parties interested in visiting the sites to review the project shall make arrangements with the PHA prior to visiting the properties. In accordance with Article 4, of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties, or a certified check made payable to the Owner, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the Owner will reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds or furnish a 20 percent cash escrow or a 25 percent irrevocable letter of credit acceptable to the Housing Authority to insure completion of the contract. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Document Note: Such deposit will be refunded to each bidder who returns the plans, specifications and other documents in good condition to the Housing Authority or to the Architect within fourteen (14) days after bid opening. Partial sets may be purchased at the cost of photocopying and shipping cost upon completion of a request for partial plans/specifications form and submitting to the Architect. Documents may also be downloaded from the Architect's website for bidding purposes only. A. The scope of work consists of Parking and Walk Upgrades - Rebid at Project 01 3 - Muntman Drive Apartments in Winchester, Illinois. The scope of work essentially includes the following work and shall be bid under one lump sum contract. Refer to the Drawings and respective Specification sections for detailed scope and detailing of the work. 1. Base Bid: a.
