Landscape Maintenance of Right-of-Ways, Water Management Areas, and Similar Planting Areas The work for which proposals are to be submitted consists of providing labor, materials and equipment for the routine high-quality maintenance of grass and landscaped areas, which includes the maintenance of sprinkler systems, fertilization and weeding as required, pursuant to the terms and conditions of the specifications and contract documents pertaining thereto which may be examined at the District Office. Bids will be accepted only from those contractors who have representative(s) at the conference. A certified or Cashiers Check on a national or state bank or Bid Bond in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid (Bid Deposit), made payable to Fiddlers Creek Community Development District #1, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the bidding process after opening the bids and, in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will enter into a contract and furnish the required Certificate of Insurance, failing which the Bid Deposit may be retained by the District for liquidated damages. Bid bond shall be from a surety with an A- or better rating under Best's Guidelines. Proposals shall be prepared, addressed and submitted in compliance with detailed instructions as set forth in the contract documents. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, technical errors and formalities, and to award the contract as it deems will best serve the interest of the District.
