Reference Number 0000367018 The current total project budget is $612,000. Assistance with the upgrade of mechanical and electrical systems within historic City Hall. Improvements include the following: 1. Replacement of (4) existing mechanical units. 2. Removal of (2) defunct mechanical units. 3. Replacement of the building management system. 4. Supply air duct insulation installation. 5. Increased IT room cool air supply. 6. Emergency generator replacement with automatic transfer switch. 7. Electrical panel and service upgrades. As part of the project, the City is also looking for guidance on how best to eliminate the room underneath the current mechanical units and generator. The selected firm would be responsible for engineering, documentation, bidding and construction administration for eliminating this space and providing a new concrete slab for the new units and generator. There is also some piping and conduit running through the space which will need to be assessed and either re-routed or abandoned completely. The building is approximately 18,000 s.f. on three floors and lies within the Downtown Historic District. Any exterior work will be subject to Historic District Commission (HDC) reviews.
