Alternate #1 is for various work associated with overlaying asphalt for the following streets, North 2nd Street, North 8th Street and North 9th Street in North Thibodaux project area and other miscellaneous work necessary to construct this project as described in the plans and specifications. Contract requirements for completion of construction will be 60 calendar days for Base Bid and 30 calendar days for Alternate # 1. All questions relating to the project shall be submitted in written form by email to tre@ljcpe.com. The deadline for submitting questions relating to the project is10:00 a.m. local time November 19, 2024. Probable Construction Cost: $900,000.00 Liquidated damages for delay will be in the amount of One-Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per day for each day over the allowed proposed time limit. All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the amount of the proposal made payable to the City of Thibodaux. Failure to do so will result in the bid/bids being declared nonresponsive and shall be cause for rejection.
