Located Within Rhodes Science Center, Building B, #1503, This Project Involves Spatial Reorganization or a Portion of the Building to Separate Precision Biomedical Agriculture and Precision Production Agricultural Units to Meet Federal Grant Requirements and Improve Process Efficiencies, Capital Renewal of Wet Laboratories and Support Spaces and All Interior Building Systems as Well as Replacement of the Entire Building B Roof. Mechanical Systems Are Also Planned to Be Reconfigured to Ensure Odors Are Properly Contained and Exhausted. Portions of Building B, Including Instructional Spaces, and Temporary Spaces for Some Aspects of the Rbc May Remain Occupied During This Renovation and Occupant Safety, and Coordination and Logistics of Building Systems to Support These Areas Are Important Aspects of the Project. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (Scl) or Construction Cost of the Project is Estimated at $11,350,000.00. The Final Scl May Be Revised by the Owner Due to Final Programmatic Requirements, Funding Availability or Other Circumstances. The Design Professional's Services Are Anticipated to Commence January 2025. Construction Documents Are Anticipated for Completion in December 2025. Preconstruction Services Are Expected to Begin Immediately Upon Execution of the Contract With the Cm/gc. The Cm/gc Shall Obtain Written Authorization From the Owner Prior to Proceeding With Any Additional Services. The Start of Construction is Anticipated to Begin in January 2026.
