Renovation of an educational facility in Johnston, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.
The Johnston Middle School -Partial Re-Roof Phase I Project, Base Bid consists of re-roofing all existing and fully adhered and ballasted EPDM roofs to remove existing 2”+/- thick river rock ballast and looselaid EPDM roof membrane, any wet insulation and all perimeter membrane flashing, metal roof edge and counter flashings as indicated on drawings and install new 1” or 2” thick rigid polyisocyanurate roof insulation screw fastened, ½” thick high density polyisocyanurate cover board adhered with low-rise foam adhesive and fully adhered EPDM 60 mil roof membrane, required roof edge block / sheathing and new pre-finished metal roof edge and new counter flashings and miscellaneous flashings for approximately 58,600 +/- sq. ft. Roof Area, removal of existing of sealant and installation of new sealant in Competition Gym precast concrete panel vertical joints and install new Vertical Metal Siding on North Wall of Practice Gymnasium is Base Bid Roof Area. Alternate Bid #1 is to remove existing ballasted EPDM roof and install new fully adhered roof on Roof ‘H’ only.
