Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Yelm, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of January 30, 2025, a design consultant has not yet been selected. Construction is not expected to begin until at least 2027. The work to be performed by the consulting firm consists of preparing the engineering design (PE phase) for the reconstruction of Rhoton Road NW from Railway Street SE to the Yelm Loop Phase 2. The project length is approximately 0.76 miles. The scope of the proposed reconstruction is expected to include widening the road to accommodate two lanes of traffic, add curb and gutter, add a 5-foot sidewalk, add an 8-foot shared use path, improving intersection radii, improve drainage and adding illumination at intersections. This is a federally funded project and has an assigned DBE agreement goal of 16%.
