Description

Site work for a mixed-use development in Santa Maria, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

In general, the work consists of removing seventeen (17) substandard fire hydrants and installing six (6) new fire hydrants at four different City locations. All hydrant removals have been coordinated with the Fire Department. Except for existing pavement and cross walk improvements that may be removed or damaged during fire hydrant and waterline upgrade work, no other new subsurface or surface improvements will be constructed, and no grade changes are anticipated. At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a California "A" Contracting License. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
