The building is listed in the State and National Register of Historic Places and the project is being partially funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund though the Massachusetts Historical Commission. All work must be performed in compliance with the "Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties." Estimated cost of construction is approximately $1.7M. General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM) in the General Building category. Salem is an affirmative action/equal opportunity purchaser.
