Fort Morgan Trail Extension Phase I for the: FORT MORGAN TRAIL EXTENSION (PHASE I) in FORT MORGAN, BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA SCOPE OF WORK: The work shall generally consist of installing approximately five (5) miles of multi-use trail with 3800 linear feet of boardwalk and mid-trail parking facility, including a restroom building, and other related work. The Contractor shall observe and comply with all federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and policies applicable to this project. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: Sealed bids must be submitted on proposal forms obtained from the Engineer and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the contract bid price, but not to exceed Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). A performance bond in the penalty amount of 100% of the contract price, a payment bond not less than 100% of the contract price, proof of general liability insurance, E-Verify MOU, and other documents will be required of the successful bidder before commencing the work. EVALUATION/AWARD: A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The Department reserves the right to compare specific items, at its discretion, to determine the most cost-efficient and responsible bidder. It is anticipated that the award will be made within thirty (30) days of the bid opening.
