The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish and deliver a one-time purchase of a Glue Laminated Timber Panel Bridge Structure in accordance with the specifications contained herein. The Contractor shall furnish and deliver one (1) Glue Laminated Timber Panel Bridge Structure in accordance with the attached VDOT plans and specifications, Attachment D. VDOT will be responsible for erecting the structure. Job Site: Bridge on Route 611 (Purcellville Road) over tributary of Catoctin Creek in Loudoun County. Span Layout: One (1) Glue-laminated timber deck spanning 18'-0" lengthwise and consisting of six (6) 4'-0" wide x 12" thick panels. Width: 24'-0" out -to-out of panels and 22'-0" face-to-face of curbs. Capacity: HL-93 Loading. All materials to conform to attached drawings and specifications. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this solicitation; however, potential bidders are encouraged to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. Bridge shall be delivered to the Bridge Maintenance Office listed below within one hundred and fifty (150) calendar days after VDOT has approved the shop drawings. The Agency shall be notified 48 hours prior to delivery of any items so that personnel may be available to verify items received. Notification shall be made to Brad Neff at (571) 359-0971. Delivery shall be made within 175 days after award. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Lora Hagarty at Lora.Hagarty@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5 days prior to the closing date.
