The successful vendor will be required to obtain a City of Redlands business license prior to commencement of work. The successful vendor must be registered with the DIR at time of bid and be in possession of appropriate Contractor's License. Payment term 30 days Binding period of the quote 120 days The contractor is responsible for determining the appropriate Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) classification for the various employees and subcontractors used for a particular project or service. erms and Conditions by Submitting a Bid, Vendors Acknowledge Conformity With All of the Bid Notices and Attached and Written Terms and Conditions Such as, but Not Limited to, Insurance, Business License, Applicable Labor Codes and Laws. Specification Conformity All Bidders Must Conform to the Included/attached Specifications and the Products They Furnish Shall Be of First Class Quality and the Equipment Used to Provide Said Product Shall Be the Best Obtainable in the Various Trades. No Advantage Shall Be Taken by the Manufacturer in the Addition and/or Omission of Any Ingredient or Detail That Makes the Product Non-compliant With Any of the Specifications, Although Such Details Are Not Mentioned in These Specifications. Changes / Modifications the City Reserves the Right to Order and/or Accept Changes in the Scope of Work and/or Specification and Resulting Contract. The Successful Bidder Has the Right to Request an Equitable Price Adjustment in Cases Where Modifications to the Contract Under the Authority of This Clause Result in Increased Costs to the Contractor. Price Adjustments Will Be Based on the Unit Prices Proposed by the Bidder in Response to This Solicitation. Specifications: o Remodel of 500 sq. ft of break area. Includes all major upgrades to many aspects of reconstruction. o Site prep for demolition to include masking, sheathing taping to protect all office and city furnish. o Remove and/or mobilize furniture and desks to demolish. o Remove old furnishings and other items necessary for renovations. o Upgrade all covers, decora square outlets and switches. o Drywall to be patched from existing damages and other repairs. o Repairs to any cracks or tape that is coming through or cracking. o Drywall and texture to be finished with matching existing texture /wallpaper. o New fresh coat of prep coat primer to have a uniform look. o 3 New doors to be supplied and installed, doors to match existing size and style. o All new paint throughout the offices. o City to approve paint color. o Subfloor to be inspected and repaired to any damages or stressed floor members. o Supply and install City approved LVT or LVP flooring. o Baseboard to be covered, base and door trim to be painted white. o Butcher block countertops to be supplied and installed in areas designated by the City. o Countertops to be treated with butcher block seal. o Style and look to emulate more spacing and room for the breakroom. Contractor shall ensure that all work conforms to all state and federal regulations, state and local building codes, and all applicable regulations or standards. Contractor is responsible for all required permits and inspections. Scope of Services The City of Redlands, Solid Waste Division, is soliciting quotes for a comprehensive remodel of the breakroom located at the California Landfill. All overhead costs, including, but not limited to, travel and/or fuel fees shall be included in the total cost. Prices shall remain in effect for the term of the purchase order and prices shall remain in effect for the term of the contract or for 120 days from the RFQ deadline date. Services rendered are estimates only and may be increased or decreased. Anything over $1,000 requires contractor to pay prevailing wages. Projects that exceed $15,000 for maintenance or $25,000 for construction, alteration, installation, demolition, or repair must be registered with the DIR. All labor included in the price. All materials included in the price. All daily clean-up included in the price. Bidder Must Bid on All Items. Award Will Be Made to the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. The City of Redlands reserves the right to reject any and/or all Quotes, reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Quote or examination process, reserves the right to select low quote per item, and reserves the right to award Quotes and/or Contracts in the best interests of the City.
