The City of Somersworth is requesting qualified proposals from engineering firms to provide Value Engineering (VE) Services for the Wastewater Treatment Facility Phase 2 Upgrade Project. The current construction cost estimate is $20,000,000. Question Deadline 11/26/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Any questions relative to information related to the requested work should be directed to sasmith@somersworthnh.gov. The required completion of the design and specifications as in the Scope of Services is sixty (60) calendar days following the City's Notice to Proceed to the selected consultant. Consultants are welcome to propose an alternate schedule if they deem appropriate for the City's consideration. The submittal package shall include five (5) hard copies and one electronic copy of the proposal in a sealed envelope plainly marked "RFP #11042024 - WWTF Value Engineering Services". In a separate envelope, only one cost proposal shall be submitted. This envelope shall be clearly marked "RFP #11042024 - WWTF Value Engineering Services - Cost Proposals". Acceptance or Rejection of Bids/Proposals The City of Somersworth reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid that is determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City of Somersworth also reserves the right to reject the bid of a bidder that has failed to perform properly or complete on time contracts of a similar nature. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time and place as indicated in the bid documents. Any bidder, authorized agent, or other interested party may be present.
