The City of Somersworth is requesting qualified proposals from engineering firms to design the replacement of 2,600 lf of water main in Indigo Hill Road from Main Street to Rita Road and the replacement of 1,200 lf of water main in Old Rochester Road north of Blackwater Road.The selected Consultant will provide engineering services to develop bidding documents (PS&E - plans, specifications and estimates) and assist the City during the bidding process, evaluate the bid responses, and recommend a contract award. The Consultant will provide engineering services for the design, specifications, and bid clarifications, and contract award for this project. The Consultant will work with the City of Somersworth to gain the permits required to design and construct the project. The project design shall consist of replacing the existing water main and service infrastructure on Indigo Hill Road and Old Rochester Road. Consultants are not required to submit a proposal for both projects and are welcome to submit a proposal for either project. The Consultant will provide surveying, design concepts, preliminary plans, final plans, and opinion of probable costs. The selected Consultant must be able to demonstrate familiarity with the water main design and construction projects; and familiar with NHDOT utility construction standards.
