The City of Somersworth is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to replace the existing water main on Main, Street from Indigo Hill Road to Nadeau Street (2,800 LF), install a new water service on Malley Farm Road, and restore the roadway surface as detailed in this Request for Bid (RFB). Bidders must carefully read each specification outlined below. Payment Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the City's Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price. Performance Bond is required to be submitted within ten (10) business days from the date of the City's Notice of Award in the amount of 100% of the estimated contract price. The City of Somersworth requests that mobilization begin by Monday May 5, 2025 with a substantial completion date no later than Friday August 29, 2025 and a final completion date of Monday September 22, 2025. The City of Somersworth reserves the right to accept any bid, and to reject any or all bids; to award the bid to other than the low bidder if deemed "bid most advantageous to the City"; to accept the bid on one or more items of a proposal, on all items of a proposal or any combination of items of a proposal and to waive any defects in bids.
