Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Somersworth, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

High Street Mill & Overlay & West Sidewalk From the start date of the Notice to Proceed, the entire project work must be substantially completed within 100 calendar days. Final Completion must be achieved within 30 days of substantial completion and before November 7th, 2025. It is anticipated that a Notice to Proceed can be issued as early as April 15th, 2025. The work under this section includes all labor, work, equipment, tools and materials, and performing all operations necessary for the construction of hydrant a d j u s t m e n t / relocation as shown on the plans, as required during construction, or as directed by the Engineer. The work shall include, but not be limited to excavation, backfill, compaction; sedimentation and erosion control; ductile iron pipe, insulation, and fittings of the sizes and quantities shown on the plans; testing, chlorinating, and connecting to the existing water system owned by the City of Somersworth Water Division; temporary trench pavement patch; permanent restoration of disturbed sidewalks, grassed areas, and pavement; and any other appurtenant work necessary to complete the work asspecified or asshown on the plans. 1.1.1 The City of Somersworth Water Division or its Designated Agent, hereinafter called OWNER, together with the ENGINEER, will observe the performance of the work for compliance with the intent of the contract documents; and accept or reject work related to the water main herein specified. 1.1.2 The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials, labor, tools and equipment, and perform all operations, testing, and incidentals necessary for a complete operating water main installation and relocation, as outlined herein and on the plans. All cleaning of existing catch basin sumps (including but not limited to, furnishing all traffic control, labor, equipment, disposal costs) shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor shall use a "vactor" type catch basin cleaner or comparable equipment. Due to the inability to completely empty a sump of liquid and solids for inspection, clamshell style catch basin cleaners will not be considered acceptable. Contractor will need to make arrangements to completely clean the catch basins. All intact structures shall be cleaned thoroughly so that the bottom of all sumps can be seen and all inverts will allow water to flow freely. No residual solids or liquids shall remain in a cleaned structure and shall be cleaned to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department. All collected debris shall be disposed of in accordance with all local, State and Federal laws and regulations. The City will work with the Contractor regarding an appropriate disposal location. If it is found that the removal effort is damaging or degrading the integrity of the structure from which the material is being removed, the Contractor shall stop immediately and bring it to the attention of the Director of Public Works and Utilities, or his designee, for guidance. The contractor will be paid for debris removal from the damaged basin, if active removal of material occurred. Contractors shall report the total mass or volume of material that was removed to the Director of Public Works and Utilities, or designee, at the conclusion of all catch basin cleaning.
