Provide the labor, equipment & materials to properly remediate the existing sand covered reservoir sloped surfaces to receive a stabilization utilizing a concrete filled geotextile mattress that will be placed on the side slopes and ledge of the reservoir. This scope of work will also include the earthwork, sub-grade preparation, placement of stabilization matting, concrete work, and placement of soil erosion measures, and any incidental restorations. The proposed work is located: Brick Utilities Reservoir 811 Herbertsville Road Brick, NJ 08724 Note: This project is partially funded by FEMA and NJIB. Each prospective bidder will have to provide the appropriate installation references and certifications to the satisfaction of the Owner. Bids must be submitted on forms prepared by Brick Utilities. All bids must be enclosed in sealed, specially addressed envelope bearing on the outside the name and address of the bidder and work bid upon. All envelopes should be sent to the attention of the Brick Utilities Engineering Department at 1551 Highway 88 West, Brick, New Jersey 08724. Checks should be made payable to the order of Colliers Engineering and Design, shall be non-refundable and no refunds will be made for return of complete or partial contract documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid or a maximum of $20,000.00; such certification to be without condition or qualification, and the check made payable to The Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority. Each bid must also be accompanied by a Consent of Surety, properly executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey or permitted individual and shall be attached to the proposal. This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank nor any of their departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 et. seq. for the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs). The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with the SED Utilization Plan developed by Brick Utilities for fulfilling SED requirements. The Project shall conform to the Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq. The bid receipt date will be at least thirty (30) days after the advertisement date; addenda notices will be provided no less than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the bid receipt deadline. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
