construction of the first all-wheel skatepark to be located at the Veteran Memorial Community Center Recreational Area, 239 Man Street, Buzzards Bay, MA. The new skatepark facility is intended to accommodate skateboarders, in-line skaters, free-style BMX bikes, WCMX friendly, and other wheeled athletic modes. The Town of Bourne desires the skatepark to be of the highest quality with regards to design, usability, and construction. The design will also include lighting, a public picnic area with site furnishings adjoining other recreational features in area, ADA Accessibility, sidewalks and connectivity to parking area; and may include use of rain gardens, and other landscape architecture, public art and other placemaking features. The Designer's fee for this project will be negotiated. This Phase of work which includes a robust community engagement, concepts with 3-D schematics, final designs plans and bid documents shall not exceed $35,000.00 for fees and expenses. The selected Designer will be eligible for future construction work on the project.
