The Town of Roxbury has issued a Request for Proposal for reclaiming and paving of parking lots and driveways at Town Hall and Public Works. Including asphalt sidewalks and repainting parking lot lines. The driveway and parking lot are located at the Town of Roxbury, Town Hall and Public Works, 29 & 31 North Street, Roxbury, CT 06783. Question Deadline 11/13/2024 at 11:45 AM ET All Requests for Information must be received by Patrick Roy at Proy@roxburyct.com Bid bond and payment bond is NOT required. The Contractor shall provide all necessary permits, labor, material and required equipment to pave the driveway and parking lot per local and State of Connecticut requirements, a complete turn-key operation. The scope of the project is to be used as a general guide and is not intended to be a complete list of all work necessary to complete the project. Time for Completion Work may commence upon Town of Roxbury's issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The start and end dates must be coordinated with the Selectman's Office with consideration given to the winter heating season. All work must be completed by June 30, 2025. Work schedules shall be Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. Weekend work must be approved by the local Town Selectman. Description - Paving Parking Lot and Driveway The contractor is requested to obtain the necessary permits. Property must be left clean, safe, and undamaged daily to remain open for regularscheduled hours. Dig out and remove asphalt curbing, reclaim existing parking lot and driveway, and remove and replace catch basin tops. Fine grade and compact entire area. Pave 1.5" compacted class 1 binder course, and pave 1.5" compacted class 2 finish course. 6" depth required 20' out from Public Works garage door openings. Remove and replace asphalt sidewalks, provide and install asphalt curbing. Provide and install new parking lot line stripping as it currently exists. Backfill behind new curb and sidewalks with topsoil, seed, and hay. The town reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Request for Proposals (RFP) for any reason (including, but not limited to, the failure of the Town to approve the Project by vote at referendum or the lack of funding for the Project), to accept or reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informalities or non-material deficiencies in any Proposal submission, to award or not award a contract in connection with this RFP, to negotiate with one or more Contractors as permitted by the Town's purchasing policies and applicable law, and to award a contract to the Contractor as deemed by the Town to be in the best interest of the Town.
