Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Wharton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Phase 1 of this project is limited to the west bound lane of Baker Avenue between Stickle Street /Denison Way and east of the Michigan Avenue intersection. The work consists of the installation of new granite block curb to reduce pavement width. The project includes granite block curb, concrete sidewalk and curb ramps, installation of new inlets and drainage pipe to connect to existing inlets, driveway repairs, traffic signage and stripping, and pavement milling and resurfacing with limited base course pavement repairs. The project is partially funded through an NJDOT Municipal Aid grant. Wharton anticipates a construction start date of March 2025. NJ Natural Gas is currently designing a gas main replacement for Baker Ave. Gas main is anticipated to be relocated prior to the start of road improvements. Bid Security is required in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty-thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21. The Borough of Wharton reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any bid defect where such defect is not detrimental to the best interest of the Borough of Wharton and fairness of the bidding process. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Contract Documents.
