Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Towson, Maryland. Design plans call for the addition of a 12,600-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for the renovation of a 17,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Plans call for renovation and the Academic Achievement Center Expansion include two phases of work involving renovation and expansion of the Fieldhouse and the Townson Center Athletic Training Facility. The construct a new two-story addition on the existing lower flat roof portion of the Fieldhouse above Level 1. This two-story, 12,800 SF addition includes additional offices and office support spaces; flexible classroom/multi-purpose spaces and studying/tutoring rooms; and additional meeting rooms. Renovations will also be made to the Athletic Sports Medicine Facility within the Fieldhouse to build new hydrotherapy pools. Other plan will also expand and modernize the athletic training facility to create a 7,200 SF space featuring upgraded treatment areas, expanded hydrotherapy capabilities, and increased functional space for trainers and athletes. All work will be performed while the Fieldhouse and the Towson Center remain operational. As of February 24, 2026, the project is currently under construction, with substantial completion expected in approximately eighteen months.
