Contract No.: D13POC.D1.15167 County: Burke, McDowell, Mitchell, and Rutherford Description: Emergency Slope Stabilization Upon Request The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for emergency slope stabilization upon request in Burke, McDowell, Mitchell, and Rutherford Counties This is an Emergency Response contract and as such, the Department has determined that it is not feasible nor in the publics interest to comply with statutory bidding requirements in obtaining equipment and/or contractors for assistance in our cleanup efforts. This is being done pursuant to the authority granted by G.S. 136-28.1 (e). As a result, the following changes apply to this contract: Any firm that wishes to bid as a prime contractor shall be prequalified with NCDOT as a Bidder or PO Prime Contractor or have the ability to become prequalified for the work being performed within 14 days of receipt of the contract. The availability date for this project is November 14, 2024. The completion date for this project is November 13, 2025.
